Welcome to the Home of Hope Website
Due to the strict Non Governmental Organization (NGO) laws, the Home of Hope Orphanages in China have had to incur many changes. Currently, all three Home of Hope orphanages were closed and children moved to a State-ran orphanage.
The Next Towns Foundation Inc. (our non-for-profit organization) has been working diligently with the governing authorities for over a year to get established to continue serving the underprivileged children of China. Thankfully, they were successful and to learn more about what they are doing with Hope Outreach China, please click HERE.
The GongYi Home of Hope (our first location) was opened in February of 2000, but after Nathan Bell’s death in November 2017, the local government decided to end the contract and move the 24 children to their State-ran orphanage. Nathan served over 70 children during his time as administrator to the Gongyi Home of Hope.
The Xuzhou Home of Hope (our second location) was opened in October of 2005, after having permits and certifications issued by the Chinese government in July of 2005. Bob Sayre, along with his wife, Cindy Sayre, were the administrators. Cindy served faithfully next to Bob’s side until her passing in January 2018. They served over 50 children during their time in Xuzhou. They closed June 2019.
The PingYu Home of Hope (our third location) was opened in March of 2010 by Ben and Michelle Godard. To comply with the Henan Provincial level laws, the local authorities had to end the contract and take over responsibility from the Godard’s in June of 2019. Ben and Michelle served 37 children during their time as administrators in Pingyu. They currently serve as our Director of China Operations. Now, instead of just helping orphaned children, the doors have been opened to them to help children in the Henan Province with special needs, children who have special needs parents, poverty stricken children and children who have been left behind.
Please view the map below to get a general idea of where we are/were located. The locations are indicated by a “House” logo at each location. For a larger view you can click on the map itself.
